CRT-monitors, 5:09min

In an audiovisual installation, Jonas Neubauer explores the boundary between reality and virtuality using scans of body parts. The work considers the scanning surface of a scanner as the physical intersection of two dimensions. There, the organic is transformed into a dynamic data stream that flows through the digital landscape and forms an inorganic contrast. The bodies shown lose their materiality and blur the boundaries between the tangible and intangible.

The work is displayed simultaneously on several CRT monitors and accompanied by an original soundtrack from Oliver Písečný's project "Friend"'
